The Goal of Bingo

The Goal of Bingo

The goal in Bingo playing is simple: the called numbers must form a specific pattern on the Bingo card. In the simplest version, the pattern is a horizontal line, but vertical lines and diagonal lines are also common. In pattern games of Bingo, you can attempt to form shapes like an arrow or the letter "J", as in jackpot Bingo.

The winner is always the first person to complete the wished-for pattern.

A single game of Bingo can (and normally does) have multiple winning rounds. In addition to winning with the first line, you can win on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th lines. But the biggest prizes are when you complete the entire Bingo grid — a full house.

If you would like to experience all the excitement in the comfort of your own home, online casino bingo is a convenient and new way to play with many variations and possibilities of winning.

Bingo Tickets

You always need a Bingo ticket to play. This is a grid that contains a predetermined set of numbers depending on the game type.

In Nettibingo, you can buy individual Bingo cards or Bingo coupons containing multiple grids. The coupon grids always contain all the possible Bingo numbers. For example, in 90-ball Bingo, numbers 1 to 90 are spread across six Bingo grids on one ticket.

In the internet game, you pay for Bingo cards or coupons using funds from your gaming account. Proceed to your favorite game room and buy cards there.

Normally, coupons may be pre-purchased, and you are not always needed to be online during the draw. This is especially useful for playing jackpot Bingo.

The price of Bingo cards depends on the game that you are playing. You may play with a stake of a few cents, making Bingo ideal even for those on a limited budget.

Most Popular Bingo Games

Online Bingo has come a long way from the traditional hall Bingo games when players marked numbers on paper coupons with a marker. Such has been the expansion that different forms have been designed with some differences in the count of numbers drawn and ticket patterns.

What follows are two most popular and common Bingo game variants:

90-Ball Bingo

In 90-ball Bingo, a player's Bingo ticket typically contains 15 numbers. These are split into nine columns by tens (i.e., the first column contains numbers 1–9, the second 10–19, the third 20–29, and so on). The ticket has three rows.

75-Ball Bingo

This is a very popular version among American players. This version uses a 24-number card, in a grid of 5×5. The columns are labeled B-I-N-G-O, indicating where the number called must go (e.g., G-52). The free square is the center square in the N column and may be used to get Bingo lines.

New Bingo Games

New Bingo variants are continually being developed. 80-ball Bingo, played with 16 numbers and situated between the traditional versions, has already established itself. More recently, fast 30- and 40-ball Bingo games have been added.

Bingo – Variations on a Winning Theme

Traditional Bingo was typically based on a single winning line. Now the game is often continued after the first win, with several winning lines on the same Bingo grid for the same cost.

Depending on the game, you win by:

  • Filling the first row or pattern
  • Filling the second row
  • Filling the third row
  • Filling the fourth row
  • Filling the entire ticket

There is also draw-based Bingo in some casinos, where the second and third completed patterns also win prizes.

For players frustrated at "almost" winning, there is 1TG Bingo and 2TG Bingo, which reward being 1 or 2 numbers away from winning. 1TG stands for "1 to go," and 2TG is "2 to go."

Casinos can also offer their own online Bingo games with their own rules and winning strategies, which are worth checking out.

Note: In the event of two or more players winning Bingo simultaneously, the pot is divided equally among them.

Jackpot Bingo

Bingo can also feature larger jackpots than usual. To win one, a full house is required, and it must be completed before a certain number of calls. The number of allowed calls depends on the game and jackpot. In general: the bigger the prize, the fewer numbers you’re allowed to complete it.

There are various types of jackpots:

  • Fixed Jackpot: Both the prize amount and the number call limit are fixed. This is also referred to as a regular full house in certain casinos.
  • Tiered Jackpots: The jackpot grows with each round, and the chances of winning get better along with it.
  • Progressive Jackpots: Every Bingo card purchased adds to the jackpot. This is precisely the same as progressive slot machines.
  • Shared Jackpots: These are shared among all the players of the game. The winner typically gets half, and the other half is split among the other players.

Bingo Tournaments

Like most other casino games, Bingo can be played in tournament format. Some casinos host such tournaments with their own set of rules, most typically involving a number of rounds of the game in which wins earn points. Winners are given prizes, which may be monetary or in the form of entry into other tournaments.
